The Challenge
Explaining a Complex International Partnership Through Video
Huboo wanted to present its collaboration with Primal Soles as more than a conventional logistics arrangement.
Primal Soles developed recyclable cork insoles supported by several connected stages: sourcing and manufacturing in Portugal, international transportation, ecommerce fulfilment in the Netherlands and a return system that allows used products to enter the recycling process.
The challenge was to transform this interconnected supply chain into a concise and engaging corporate video that viewers could understand without lengthy technical explanations.
The film also needed to represent both companies clearly. It had to communicate the sustainable vision behind Primal Soles while demonstrating the practical role Huboo plays in supporting storage, order fulfilment, distribution and returns.
Project Objectives
Creating a Corporate Film with Commercial and Human Value
The production focused on several central goals:
Explain the partnership between Huboo and Primal Soles.
Present the product journey from manufacturing to customer delivery.
Introduce the people behind both businesses.
Show Huboo’s fulfilment operations in a real working environment.
Communicate the product return and recycling concept.
Create a versatile video for marketing, sales and partnership communication.
Position Huboo as a strategic ecommerce fulfilment partner.
Video Strategy
Building the Narrative Around People, Product and Process
Rather than creating a general company introduction, the video was structured as a customer success story.
Primal Soles founder David Even became one of the central voices within the film. His perspective helped connect the company’s environmental mission with the practical decisions behind the product and its supply chain.
The Huboo segment introduced the fulfilment side of the collaboration through an interview with company representative Oscar Heijnen and footage captured at the Huboo facility in Veldhoven.
Interviews were combined with manufacturing scenes, warehouse activity, product details and location footage. This allowed the partnership to be explained through visible processes rather than corporate statements alone.
Pre-production
Turning a Multi-location Process into One Coherent Story
A storyboard was created before filming to define the narrative sequence, interview topics, required operational scenes and transitions between locations.
This preparation was especially important because the production involved two companies, different filming environments and locations in Portugal and the Netherlands.
The storyboard created a shared visual direction for the project while ensuring that each scene supported the central message: Primal Soles’ product vision is connected with Huboo’s fulfilment infrastructure and return logistics.
It also helped determine which parts of the process required explanation through interviews and which could be communicated visually.
International Corporate Video Production
Connecting Manufacturing in Portugal with Fulfilment in the Netherlands
Filming took place in Portugal and at Huboo’s office and fulfilment centre in Veldhoven.
The footage from Portugal established the product and manufacturing side of the story. It showed where the cork-based insoles originate and introduced the processes behind their production.
The Netherlands footage focused on Huboo’s role after manufacturing: receiving the products, managing stock, preparing customer orders and supporting the return flow for used insoles.
Connecting these locations visually made it possible to present the supply chain as one continuous system rather than a collection of separate business activities.
Interviews and Operational Footage
Combining Personal Perspectives with Real Business Activity
The interviews provide context behind the partnership, while footage from the production and fulfilment environments demonstrates how the collaboration works in practice.
This combination creates a more credible corporate story. Viewers hear directly from the people involved while also seeing the products, facilities and operational processes they discuss.
The documentary-inspired approach keeps the communication professional without making the film feel overly scripted or promotional.
It also allows the personalities of the participants and the working environments of both businesses to remain visible throughout the video.
The Solution
A Customer Success Video Built Around a Real Partnership
The completed corporate film brings together the origin of the product, the vision of Primal Soles and the operational capabilities of Huboo.
It explains how the partners contribute to different stages of the same customer journey—from manufacturing and storage to order delivery and product returns.
For Huboo, the film functions as a customer success story and a practical example of how the company supports ecommerce brands.
For Primal Soles, it provides a platform for explaining the company’s product philosophy, international supply chain and circular ambitions through real people, places and processes.
Because the narrative focuses on an existing business relationship, the film demonstrates capabilities through a concrete example rather than a conventional list of corporate services.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
01
What is a customer success story video?
A customer success story video presents a real collaboration between a business and one of its clients or partners.
It normally combines interviews, operational footage and a structured narrative to demonstrate how a company’s services work in practice and what value they create for the customer.
-
02
How is a customer story different from a general corporate video?
A general corporate video normally introduces a company, its team and its services.
A customer story focuses on a specific collaboration or business challenge. This often makes the message more credible because viewers can see how the company’s services support a real client.
-
03
Can a corporate video be filmed in multiple countries?
Yes. Multi-location productions can connect manufacturing facilities, offices, warehouses, customers and other parts of an international supply chain.
Storyboarding and careful production planning help maintain a consistent narrative and visual style across all locations.
-
04
Can employees and company founders appear in the video without previous camera experience?
Yes. Participants do not need professional presentation experience.
Interviews can be prepared around clear discussion topics rather than memorised scripts. Direction during filming helps participants communicate naturally and confidently.
-
05
Can filming take place inside an active warehouse or production facility?
Yes. Corporate video production can be organised around active business operations.
The production plan should consider safety requirements, employee activity, machinery, customer information and operational schedules.
-
06
Why combine interviews with operational footage?
Interviews explain the ideas, decisions and business goals behind a partnership.
Operational footage gives viewers visual evidence of how the collaboration works. Combining both formats makes a corporate video more informative, credible and engaging.
-
07
How long should a corporate customer story be?
The ideal duration depends on the intended platform and complexity of the story.
A main video can provide a complete narrative for a website or presentation, while shorter versions can be prepared for advertising, social media and sales communication.
-
08
Can New Employees Be Photographed Later in the Same Style?
Where possible, the lighting, framing, background and post-production approach can be documented to support future portrait updates.
Recreating the original setup allows new employees to be added to the company’s visual system while maintaining continuity with the existing team photographs.
-
09
Can one corporate video production create content for several platforms?
Yes. A planned production can generate a main corporate film as well as shorter edits, interview fragments, social media content and supporting footage for future campaigns.
