Employer Branding Photography for SWITCH Recruitment

Building Trust Through Authentic Team Photography

Recruitment businesses are built on relationships. Unlike product companies, recruitment agencies sell expertise, trust and human connection. Potential candidates and clients often form their first impression long before the first phone call takes place.

Project Overview

SWITCH wanted to showcase the people behind the business and create a visual identity that reflected the openness, friendliness and collaborative culture of the team. The objective was not a rebrand or website launch. Instead, the company wanted to strengthen trust by introducing future clients, partners and candidates to the people behind the organisation. The imagery needed to communicate professionalism while preserving the warmth, authenticity and collaborative atmosphere that defines the company internally.

The Challenge

For service businesses, people are the product.

Candidates want to know who they will speak with. Clients want confidence that they are partnering with experienced and approachable professionals.

Without authentic photography, many recruitment companies rely heavily on stock imagery or inconsistent employee photos, making it difficult to communicate company culture and personality.

SWITCH wanted to move beyond generic corporate visuals and instead show the people behind the business through professional portraits, team photography and employer branding imagery that felt genuine and approachable.

The goal was simple: create trust before the first conversation ever takes place.

Project Objectives

The project focused on several key objectives:

  1. Create professional and consistent employee portraits.

  2. Humanise the business through authentic imagery.

  3. Support LinkedIn profiles and professional networking.

  4. Strengthen credibility and trust.

  5. Showcase company culture and team dynamics.

  6. Provide long-term marketing assets for digital channels.

  7. Create a reusable visual library for future communications.

GOAL #1

Corporate Headshots and Personal Branding

Professional headshots formed the foundation of the visual library.

Consistent employee portraits help businesses maintain a professional appearance across websites, LinkedIn profiles, presentations and recruitment materials.

The objective was to avoid rigid corporate portraits and instead create imagery that reflected the personalities behind the business.

The resulting portraits communicate expertise without sacrificing authenticity or approachability.

GOAL #2

Team Photography and Company Culture

Modern employer branding increasingly relies on authenticity.

Candidates and clients want to know who they will work with and what kind of people stand behind a company.

Team photography focused on collaboration, openness and approachability, helping SWITCH communicate its people-first culture visually rather than through marketing copy alone.

These images continue to support website content, recruitment initiatives and social media communication.

Photography Strategy

Humanising the Brand

Showing real people creates stronger trust than stock photography and generic office imagery.

The photographs were designed to create familiarity and establish a connection before any meeting, call or interview takes place.

Creating Approachable Professionalism

Recruitment professionals need to appear knowledgeable and trustworthy while remaining approachable and easy to communicate with.

The visual language was carefully balanced to support both objectives.

Minimising Business Disruption

One of the most common concerns businesses have about company photography is operational downtime.

The entire project involving nine employees was completed in a single production day.

Employees were organised into smaller groups and photographed around meetings and ongoing work schedules, allowing normal operations to continue throughout the day.

In most cases we recommend businesses reserve approximately four hours to achieve similar results comfortably.

Supporting Preparation and Styling

Preparation plays an important role in creating cohesive business imagery.

Prior to the photoshoot, we provided clothing guidelines and preparation materials to help employees feel comfortable and ensure visual consistency across the final image library.

Deliverables

The final production included:

  • Individual employee portraits

  • LinkedIn headshots

  • Team photography

  • Environmental office portraits

  • Website banner imagery

  • Company culture photography

  • Marketing assets for future communication

The project was photographed in one day and delivered within one additional editing day.

Fast turnaround remains possible when businesses require imagery for upcoming campaigns, launches or recruitment initiatives.

Results

How Can New Visuals Improve Employer Branding?

The completed visual library provided SWITCH with a consistent and professional visual identity centred around the people behind the business.

The imagery strengthened trust across digital channels while giving prospective clients and candidates an opportunity to connect with the team before the first conversation takes place.

Rather than producing a collection of isolated images, the project delivered a long-term visual asset library that continues to support employer branding, recruitment marketing and professional communication.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 01
    What is Corporate Branding Photography?

Corporate branding photography focuses on creating high-quality, professional images that represent a company’s identity, values, and culture. These images are used on websites, social media, promotional materials, and other brand assets. A corporate branding photoshoot may include portraits of leadership, team photos, environmental shots of the workplace, or images of employees in action. The goal is to capture the essence of your company and communicate its professionalism and uniqueness.

  • 02
What is the Difference Between Corporate and Personal Branding Photography?

While both corporate and personal branding photography aim to communicate identity and values, they target different audiences.
Corporate branding photography focuses on representing an entire company or organization. It includes group shots, office spaces, and images that reflect the company culture and mission.
Personal branding photography, on the other hand, focuses on individual entrepreneurs, professionals, or small business owners. It’s all about showcasing the personality and expertise of a single person.

  • 03
Why Should I Hire a Professional Brand Photographer for My Company?

Using existing employee portraits might seem like an easy solution, but professional corporate branding photography ensures that all your images are consistent, high-quality, and aligned with your company's brand image. A professional photographer knows how to use lighting, angles, and backgrounds to create impactful visuals that communicate your company’s values effectively. These images will look more polished and cohesive compared to casual photos taken on personal devices. Additionally, a photographer can guide your team during the shoot, ensuring everyone looks their best and the images reflect the professional image your brand needs.

  • 04
How Much Does a Corporate Branding Photographer Cost?

The cost of corporate branding photography depends on the scope of the project and the services you require:

    • Per Hour: Ideal for smaller shoots, such as individual portraits or a few group shots, typically lasting up to 3 hours.

    • Per Day: Perfect for full-day shoots that include multiple locations, team portraits, and environmental shots of your office or workspace. Discounts may be offered for longer sessions.

    • Per Session: This option works well when the brand and photographer agree on a specific scope of work. The session may last anywhere from a few hours to several days, depending on the complexity and number of images needed.

Travel expenses may be charged separately, depending on the location of the shoot.

  • 05
Should I Hire a Local Brand Photographer or a Distant One?

Hiring a local brand photographer offers several advantages, including easier logistics, familiarity with the area, and potential cost savings on travel expenses. A local photographer also understands the local market and may have specific experience that aligns with your company’s needs. However, if your brand requires a photographer with a unique style or specialized expertise, working with someone from outside your area might be worth the extra investment.

While we’re based in Eindhoven, we love working on unique projects and are happy to travel. Whether you need a business branding photographer in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Den Bosch, anywhere else in the Netherlands, or even abroad, we’re ready to help capture your brand.

How Should I Prepare for a Corporate Branding Photoshoot?

Proper preparation helps ensure the photoshoot goes smoothly and you get the best possible images to represent your brand. Start by planning the types of images you want, whether it's team portraits, individual employee shots, or images of your office space. Here are some tips for preparation:

    • Decide on Locations: Choose where the photos will be taken, whether in the office, at an event, or on location.

    • Dress Code: Have your team dress in a way that reflects your company’s image—whether formal, business casual, or creative. Consistency is key.

    • Communicate Your Brand: Share any brand guidelines with the photographer so they understand your company’s visual identity, including colors, fonts, and logo usage.

    • Plan for Timing: Make sure everyone is available at the scheduled time, and ensure the photographer has enough time for setups and breaks.
